The present invention provides a portable forced-convection test system for evaluating the thermo-hydraulic performance of porous, lattice, foam-like, or triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) inserts. The system is configured to simultaneously measure heat-transfer behavior and pressure drop under controlled airflow and controlled heating conditions.
In one embodiment, the system comprises an air supply unit, a flow-control unit, a flowmeter, a heated tubular test section, a replaceable insert chamber, a temperature-measurement unit, a pressure-drop measurement unit, and an outlet flow path. The detailed diagram shown in Figure 1. The porous or lattice specimen is positioned inside the tubular test section, and forced air is passed through the specimen while the test section is externally heated. During operation, the system records airflow rate, inlet temperature, outlet temperature, wall or heater temperature, and differential pressure across the test section.
