The patent introduces a proposed bidirectional converter with high voltage gain and low voltage stress on switches for bidirectional high voltage gain applications due to the capacitive voltage division such as Energy Storage Systems (ESS), On-board chargers (OBC), information and communication technology (ICT) equipment, data centers etc. As a result, low voltage rating switches can be employed to reduce losses and cost. Although the proposed converter employs the interleaved method, it can still achieve automatic uniform current sharing without adding the extra components or complex control methods as the conventional interleaved converters. Besides, the expandable versions of the proposed converter can be implemented to extend the conversion ratio, which uses less control signals, higher effective of duty ratio, low component count compared to the expandable versions of the other topologies.
