|1) The present invention relates to the design of shoe midsole using helical springs particularly, the design of shoe midsole using variable dimension helical springs, and fabrication of the same using additive manufacturing technology.
2) The present invention relates to design customized shoe midsole by using variable dimension springs in which meso-level variable dimension helical springs will be placed and optimized in order to achieve customized cushioning without considering the weight of the user and also without considering the mode (walking, running, jogging etc.) of user.
3) The midsole presented here has divided into five regions based on the foot pressure distribution followed by the design of variable dimension helical spring according to the foot pressure distribution i.e. the material is distributed only where it is needed to bear the loading, ultimately the weight of the midsole has reduced significantly.
4) The present shoe midsole invention can reduce the heel impact on the midsole (mentioned in 1) while significantly improving the energy return percentage which can reduce the user’s lower body joint pain while improving comfort.
5) The midsole presented in this invention can 3D print using any AM technology.
