於1983 ~ 至今 在法國巴黎大學、法國波爾多大學、美國麻州大學、日本北海道大學、英國杜安大學(Durham University)、德國柏林自由大學、日本東京工業大學、中國北京大學、德國漢堡大學、德國馬普研究所(緬因茲)(MAX-PLANCK INSTITUTE, Mainz)、德國緬因茲大學(University of Mainz)、中國武漢大學、英國劍橋大學(University of Cambridge)、日本神奈川大學、中國哈爾濱工程大學及廈門大學等大學之訪問教授。
2008年獲聘為國立臺灣科技大學講座教授,2009年獲頒日本高分子學會 國際賞 [with Prof. J. M. J. Frechet (University of California, Berkeley,USA) and Prof. K. Muellen (Max-Planck Institute,Germany)],國科會指導大專學生專題研究創作獎(1997年),及國立臺灣科技大學最佳專題獎之指導教授數次,中國化工學會賴再得獎(1998年),考試院典試委員,中華民國高分子學會理事,中華民國介面科學會理事 (2000 年),臺灣有機光電材料與元件協會(Taiwan Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Device Association) (原臺灣有機電激發光材料協會)常務監事(2003年起),中國化學會(臺北)國際關係委員會主任委員(2004年起),中華民國高分子學會國際關係委員會主任委員(2004年至2008年5月)。
